There’s nothing quite like having fresh flowers around the house and you don’t have to wait for someone to buy them for you to enjoy them. Peony season is in full swing and I couldn’t resist picking some up while I was out today to go in the vase I picked up at the thrift store (it’s a bit chipped but I loved the color.) Peonies are fancy flowers, but they don’t have to come with a fancy price tag. I got six of them for just eight bucks. Not exactly bargain basement but not enough to bankrupt me either. It’s amazing how much just a few flowers can change an entire room and your perspective of it.

I also decided to put flowers around the house in other places. Bathrooms aren’t always the first places you think of putting flowers but they are nice to have greeting you when you wake up in the morning.
Even a single flower in a vase or glass can change your room, so indulge wisely this weekend in some pretty florals.
