The table we ordered for our dining room (back in June) arrived a few weeks ago. It was just what the room needed to finally start feeling lived-in.
We’re still using the chairs from our old table for the time being, as I’m trying to find some cool antique ones to replace them with and haven’t had any luck just yet.
Since we had already bought one table, we thought, heck, why not throw another into the mix, too? So, we trekked over to a vintage shop down the street, Reform Objects, and bought ourselves a new coffee table, too.
According to the store, it’s a Paul McCobb, a mid-century furniture designer who was kind of a big deal during that era. It’s been refinished which I’m sure degrades the value quite a bit, but it still looks nice, and that’s what really matters.
To protect our pretty new table, I got these awesome coasters from Anthropologie. They weren’t cheap, but they’re so pretty I know we’ll have them for a long time!
We’ve kind of exhausted our furniture budget for the time being, but hopefully I can find some awesome deals soon!

Thanks so much for the sweet comment. 🙂 I can’t wait to start using it for get-togethers!
your table looks just like my table! i really wanted a bench, but it was vetoed. instead i got chairs from industry west and i love them! so obsessed with living room table shopping now…must check out this reform objects place!
Yes, I think Andrea had told me she thought you guys got the same one. It’s such a pretty table. We have good taste. 🙂 I like having the bench, but I don’t know how comfortable it will be to sit on for a long time. Looks great though! You should totally go to check out Reform Objects! They have pretty good deals on nice antique stuff. It’s not cheap, but you don’t feel like you’re getting ripped off either. If you want to go, let me know and we can go together, we live right down the street from that place!
