Quick Projects

August 24, 2012

It’s quick project time! The first was a repair on a glass box that got broken when we moved. I wrapped this thing up so much and it still managed to break. I was seriously pissed. I hadn’t really been using it until I came up with an idea of how to fix it after seeing a similar box at West Elm with a fabric bottom.

Using a piece of illustration board cut to size, some linen, and fabric glue, I covered up the broken bottom of the box. It looks like it’s supposed to be that way!

The look is completed with some pretty rocks to display!

My other project was this butt ugly tray I found that the neighbors were throwing out. Gross, dirty, and not something you’d really want in your house, right?

A really crappy spraypainting job later, it looks like this. So much cuter and actually useful now. The flowers in the vase are from our yard, btw.
