Much like our dining room, our living room’s paint colors were a bit bright for our tastes. They clashed pretty badly with our furniture to boot. So, I spent the better part of an evening slapping some gray paint on the wall to rectify the situation.
I chose Benjamin Moore’s London Fog, which is a warm gray. Sorry for the terrible quality of the before shots. I don’t know what I was doing. In a hurry, I guess.
It took two coats to cover the really vibrant colors underneath, but it was worth it. Looked completely different afterwards.
I also, more recently, added more shelves to the wall with the idea of ultimately turning them into built ins. I’ve seen a lot of awesome Billy built-ins, so I’m hoping we can get an equally awesome result and maybe even have a library ladder!
Super happy with how it came out and the gray is a way better match for all the blue that we have than the orange and yellow.
