Let’s just get this said right off the bat– these are not professional quality photos. My house is kind of a mess, at least a little bit, at all times, so they’re not particularly well-styled either. It is what it is, this is just the season my my life that I’m in right now.
So yeah, this isn’t the kind of thing that people are going to pin on Pinterest and use as inspiration. But if they holidays are about anything, they’re about sharing your joy and your excitement and few things get me more jolly than holiday decor.
Now that your expectation have been sufficiently lowered, on to the holiday shots! I’m the kind of crazy Christmas person who has to decorate each and every room of the house. I LOVE HOLIDAY DECOR. Like, so hard.
The kids have their own little tree in our kitchen dining area where they can hang the ornaments they make. We also have snowflakes on every window, because, why not?
Our dining room bar cart gets some festive garland and my vintage Santa mug!
I’ve got another tree in here that houses all my “woodland” ornaments because I have a ton. When people find out you like things like mushrooms and owls, they buy you insane amounts of them.
I got this table runner on clearance last year for $2 at Target and the gold leaves were similarly cheap. Festive without being too aggressively holiday-y.
I got sooo excited when I found this vintage ceramic tree at a thrift store. I think it’s actually meant to hang on a wall, but I like it propped up here.
My other, OTHER tree. This one is all robots and space and such.
This advent is another of my clearance finds!
I turned the top shelf into a little winter village. I’ve since added a few little deer, but it could probably still use some lights.
My vintage-ish feather tree. Makes a nice room divider.
I actually ended up changing this around a ton, but I’m too lazy to take another picture.
I wanted trees for these pots basically since we moved in and finally got some last year! They have little lights on them and I love them!
Our derpy little squirrel and some trees on the porch. Real life squirrels ate part of this pillow last year.
Almost impossible to take a picture of the powder room because it’s both dark and a tight space, but you can see the garland over the mirror kinda.
I even drug some holiday decor upstairs into our master bath.
My favorite room in the house is our family room, though. The tree, the fireplace, the reds everywhere– so cozy and so Christmasy.
A few little Christmas pops on the shelves. I only decorated the one side because the other is blocked by the tree.
And that’s it! Nothing too special or fancy but we are holiday ready over here and can’t wait for the big day to arrive (but not too quickly because I wanna savor it a bit, too)!
